We offer two sets of Microsoft Excel®-based Tolerance Analysis Spreadsheet Tools. These easy-to-use analytical Tools are flexible and very powerful decision making aids, and are excellent Tools for communicating the results of a Tolerance Stackup. Results are presented in a standardized, easy-to-read Tolerance Stackup Report Format. Each of the Tools is accompanied by a set of instructions for use. Versions of the Toolset with custom menus are included, offering more tools to streamline the Tolerance Analysis process.
Our Tolerance Analysis Training Courses use a variety of tolerance reporting methods, but most of the problems are solved using these excellent products. Our training materials include step-by-step instructions for using the tools. Fixed Fastener Tool: GD&T
The Fixed Fastener Tool solves the Fixed Fastener Formula for any of the four variables in the Fixed Fastener Equation. In addition, the reporting format is laid out with two optional methods on the same page: on the upper half of the report is the solution for the traditional Fixed Fastener Equation, on the lower half of the report is the solution for determining the equivalent requirements if a Projected Tolerance Zone is Not Specified.

The Fixed Fastener Tool solves the Fixed Fastener Formula for any of the four variables in the Fixed Fastener Equation. This Tool is adapted from the GD&T-based Tool, and includes two extra steps not required in the GD&T-based Tool. This Tool does not address Projected Tolerance Zones, as they may only be clearly defined using GD&T.

Standard Tolerance Stackup Reporting Tool:
Our Standard Tolerance Stackup Reporting Tool is very versatile and powerful. It can be used to solve any one-dimensional linear tolerance stackup. It is very easy to use and presents the data in an easy-to-read format.
Worst-case. Root-Sum-Square (RSS) and Adjusted RSS solutions are built-into the report format, which makes it easy to compare the results of each method.
Our Tolerance Analysis Toolset is designed to be both a very powerful analytical Tool and a very valuable communication Tool. The methods for solution are built right into the pre-formatted reports. The price of any license may be applied to the cost of obtaining additional licensed seats of the Toolset within 90 days from date of purchase.
Complimentary software upgrades are included for one-year from date of purchase. New optional macros and menus have been added to the Standard Tolerance Stackup Reporting Tool to improve ease of use and functionality. Several statistical issues are also addressed by the code embedded in the spreadsheet. VBA versions of the Fixed & Floating Fastener Tools have been added to enable spell check and other improvements. Simple instructions are included with the Toolset.
Greater coverage of how to the use the Spreadsheets and create Tolerance Stackup Sketches is included in our Tolerance Analysis books and our training courses. Toolset licenses are offered free as part of our onsite Tolerance Analysis Training Courses. This is a cost effective way to obtain the Toolset and get a head-start in understanding how to use it and how to solve your Tolerance Analysis problems.
Note:
The Fixed and Floating Fastener Tools without Visual Basic and the Standard Tolerance Stackup Reporting Tool without Visual Basic will run on a Macintosh™. The macros in the Fixed and Floating Fastener Tools with Visual Basic and the Standard Tolerance Stackup Reporting Tool with Visual Basic will not currently run on a Macintosh™.
The spreadsheets in the Toolset that do not contain Visual Basic commands should work fine with Excel 2007. The Standard Tolerance Stackup Reporting Tool with Visual Basic contains a custom menu, and Excel 2007 menus work differently than in previous versions. Some of our customers who are using the Toolset in Excel 2007 tell us they are using the Reporting Tools without Visual Basic instead.
Sometime in 2008 we will develop a new release that includes the custom commands for Excel 2007. The upgrade will be made available at no additional cost to anyone who purchased the Toolset in 2007 and also in 2008 before the new version is released. Please contact us for upgrade pricing if you purchased a license before 2007.
The Toolset still works great with Excel 2003.
